Currently seeking candidates for Vector Control Operations Supervisor at Dallas County Mosquito Control
Candidate qualities:
· M.S. Entomology and previous employment in public health preferred
· Demonstrated skills in writing and editing documents, public speaking, data analysis and mapping, and insecticide resistance testing
· Under the direction of the Mosquito Control Manager and Environmental Health Assistant Director of Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) the Vector Control Operations Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the Mosquito Control Lab. Currently supervises the Entomologist, Lead Mosquito Technician, and Mosquito Technician. Is the liaison with Texas Department of State Health Services Arbovirus Lab, DCHHS Epidemiology Department, 25 municipalities, and contractors
Compensation:
· Annual Pay $52,435 – $62,100
· Annual Vacation accumulated: 10 days (1-7 yrs) 15 days (7-16 yrs) 20 days (16 yrs)
· Annual Sick accumulated: 12 days
· Retirement: Vested at 10 yrs. 7% pay deduction at 7% interest rate. www.tcdrs.org
