DISTRIBUTION OF CULEX CORONATOR IN TEXAS

In April 2019, a study updating the distribution of Culex coronator in Texas was published in the Journal of the American Mosquito Control Association. The study compiled information from old literature and surveillance information, then collected specimens in counties without data. The last reported (1989) distribution for this species was in 20 counties. This study resulted in collection data for 127 counties (half the counties in Texas!). Authors plan to continue the search for this species in northeast and west Texas.
